Thank you. Yes, you.

Since I started Chimp, you have stood up for what is right and for what you care about, and you decided to engage, and you decided to give back on Chimp.

And with that, Chimp recently surpassed the $200 million mark in processed charitable donations. $100 million of that has been given just over the past 12 months.

Yes. $200 million! That’s a huge number, and an incredible achievement that has led to change in our communities.

Whether it was stepping up in support of the global refugee crisis or supporting residents affected by the Fort McMurray wildfires, or making conscious decisions to support the causes that matter to you, you’ve made the world that much better.

Communities of friends, family, co-workers, and even strangers, have come together to amplify their impact in groups, and companies like Flight Centre, Glentel, and Vancouver Whitecaps FC have supported their customers and employees in giving millions of dollars to causes they care about.

With your actions on Chimp, you’re shaping the future and making society that much better. You’re affecting lives, you’re protecting the environment, and you’re giving people opportunities they never could have had without your support.

I created Chimp to give people like you the tools to act on your own vision for creating impact. People like you will help fight apathy and a growing ask-driven giving culture. I created Chimp for you and the impact you want to make.

I believe that everyone is inherently generous: it’s a deep-rooted human desire. Humans have a tremendous amount of compassion. It’s how we’ve prospered as a civilization. Chimp enables you to act on your innate human qualities. It enables you to act on your philanthropic impulse. It enables you to create the change you want to see in the world.

So as I think about the next milestone that we want to reach with you, I think about recommitting to—heck, doubling down on—working with and for you as you create, and learn from creating, your own charitable impact.

Cheers and thanks for showing up,

John
