Group of arthritis researchers

September is Arthritis Awareness Month in Canada – a campaign intended to support the 5.2 million Canadians living with the disease and all those who make arthritis research possible.

There are a number of great organizations across Canada that conduct arthritis research, or work tirelessly to support those living with disease. Here are a few of the organizations you can support with CHIMP:

The Arthritis Society

The Arthritis Society are a national health charity, with a vision to live in a world where people are free from the devastating effects that arthritis has on lives. They invest in cutting-edge research and innovative solutions that help those living with arthritis.

Arthritis Research Foundation

Arthritis Research Foundation raises funds for arthritis research and other autoimmune diseases, as well as raising awareness. Their long term goal is to provide researchers with the financial resources needed to accelerate their research and ultimately find a cure.

Arthritis Research Centre of Canada (ARC)

Arthritis Research Canada conducts clinical research and trials related to arthritis prevention, diagnosis, prognosis and quality of life issues. They are committed to practical research for everyday living – they are searching for answers that will immediately reduce the burden of arthritis, to give more timely and cost-effective solutions to those living with their disease.

Cassie and Friends

Cassie and Friends is the only charity in Canada that is 100% dedicated to supporting children that have juvenile arthritis, or other rheumatic diseases. They work with patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals and researchers, to provide life-changing support to help kids and families face life with a chronic condition.

You can find out more about these organizations, or the many other arthritis charities across Canada, on CHIMP.
