A culture with a clear sense of purpose, feelings of teamwork and collaboration and work-life balance make Charitable Impact a top employer.

VANCOUVER, B.C., August 01, 2019. Charitable Impact is proud to announce that we have been certified as a Great Place to Work after a thorough and independent analysis conducted by Great Place to Work Institute Canada. This certification is based on direct feedback from employees, provided as part of an extensive and anonymous survey about the workplace experience.

Team members gave top marks on work-life balance, fairness and respect. In fact, we rated exceptionally high on camaraderie, our score in most variables was higher than any of the other organizations in Canada in our target group of less than 100 employees. From flexible work schedules to professional development, and from open communication to collaboration, Charitable Impact hits all the marks to keep the team highly motivated.

A team member noted that “giving, and helping people to give, is at the heart of everything we do at Charitable Impact. Knowing that the work we do is helping others create positive change in the world keeps us motivated, and provides a great sense of fulfillment at the end of every work day.”

We encourage our team to spend time on the things that matter most to them, so flexible work schedules help keep their personal and work life in harmony. Taking time for growth is also a priority for us, that's why we offer professional development funding, opportunities for team members to challenge themselves with new and exciting projects, and quarterly lunch and learns with internal and external speakers.

We foster collaboration and encourage teams to work closely together. Our weekly Tuesday huddles feature good news, updates, and 90-second spotlight presentations of interesting ideas or projects from team members. We also host quarterly all-team meetings, halftime mid-quarter meetings, and fireside chats with the CEO and senior leaders. We're doing things to make sure that people connect in fun ways, and we also try to make sure people feel recognized for their contributions.

“I think we've created something magical here. Everyone feels valued, no matter what level of the organization they're at, they feel equal, valued for the work that they do and the person that they are, and not because of anything else.” said Dan Brodie, COO, Charitable Impact.

Being awarded the Great Place to Work certification is a great achievement, and we are thrilled that our work culture has been recognized. Great culture comes from great people, so a huge thanks to the whole team for making Charitable Impact a great place to work, every single day.
