If you’ve ever called the Chimp office for support, or emailed [email protected] with questions, you’ve likely interacted with members of our helpful and uber talented Client Success team.

These friendly folks are always here to help you get your account set up, launch a Giving Group or Campaign, or manage any issues you encounter during the giving process.

And that’s why we thought you might like to get to know them a bit better — so that when you do get a friendly voice on the other end of the phone, or a response in your inbox, you can put a face to the name and have a better sense of who’s on the other end.

Meet Andrew ShingCopy of Andrew

Andrew has worked with Chimp for a year and a half.

What brought you to Chimp?

I started volunteering with Chimp beforehand so when the job opportunity came up, it seemed like a really good fit. I believe in Chimp’s mission and really liked the idea of working every day with a team that inspires and empowers the human spirit of charity.

What’s your favourite part of your job?

The satisfaction of helping others achieve their goals. Seeing all the great work people are doing to help change the world is inspiring!

What project are you most proud of?

One of our more recent projects was to create help.chimp.net. It’s meant to provide support so that people can easily achieve their goals on Chimp. It was a big project but worth all the work because it makes it easier for clients to get the information they need quickly.

Another project I’m proud of is our Ignite Giving campaign to provide poverty relief. I felt connected to this campaign because it benefited charities right in our own backyard and addressed an important issue in our community. I also liked how our office really came together to make that campaign happen and it highlighted the ability and impact Chimp can have.

What’s the first thing you do when you get to your desk every morning?

I literally start my day at the water cooler by grabbing a glass of water, since I don’t drink coffee. After that I generally check emails, Slack for team updates, and chat with colleagues about the exciting things they’re working on.

Copy of shoreline2What’s your favourite way to spend the weekend?

Running along the seawall followed by brunch is my kind of weekend.

If you could wave a magic wand and change one thing in the world, what would it be?

I’d love to see a world where everyone has access to clean drinking water. It’s a basic need that I hope we can address in our lifetime  — magic wand or not!

Tell us something most people don’t know about you.

I had the great pleasure of completing kindergarten twice.
