Do you hear that sound? Ping. Pong. Ping. Pong. That’s the sound of Vancouver’s tech community training for the most tremendous table tennis tournament of 2016, TechPong! Kicking off at 6 pm on November 15, at Imperial Vancouver, TechPong promises to be bigger and more exciting, while raising a huge amount for charity. But don’t take my word for it, you can see it on my face in the video:

This year’s tournament will see longstanding competitors like Unbounce and Hootsuite going head-to-head against newcomers like Microsoft and BroadbandTV in both singles and doubles brackets. Each team is raising at least $1,500 for the charity of their choice, which has made a big difference to past beneficiaries like PeaceGeeks and The Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre Association To date, TechPong has raised close to$150,000!

Chimp hosted an internal tournament last week to determine our best player. When the dust settled, our champion was named. Edward Lee will represent Chimp in the singles bracket:

The internal tournament was tons of fun and a great fundraising opportunity. Competitors and spectators contributed to the cause for the privilege to watch or cheer on the combatants.

Not a ponger? No problem! Pick up a ticket here and join us for beer, snacks, and the craziest live sporting event of the year, hosted by the world famous El Garzita.
