ACE - Animal Charity Evaluators (Programs)
Animal Charity Evaluators is dedicated to our mission of finding and promoting the most effective ways to help animals. We use evidence-based research to assist compassionate donors, volunteers, and advocates in making informed decisions on how to help as many animals as possible.
To achieve our mission of finding and promoting the most effective ways to help animals, ACE pursues three main programs: Research, Education & Outreach, and Fundraising.
Research: To date, ACE has considered hundreds of international animal charities and currently recommends 3 Top and 8 Standout Charities to donors. In 2016, we launched an Animal Advocacy Research Fund and have awarded several hundred thousand dollars in grants for studies that will inform animal advocates. We host research symposiums and workshops to unite advocates with academics, and we have created a data repository for research related to effective animal advocacy. In addition, we publish articles about foundational research questions, produce intervention reports, and interview leaders and experts in animal advocacy. In 2017, we launched an Experimental Research Division to address important empirical questions in the animal advocacy movement.
Education & Outreach: Through targeted online advertising, we have directed hundreds of thousands of people to our website to learn about how they can help the greatest number of animals possible. We produce educational videos aimed at explaining the concepts of effective animal advocacy to a broad audience. Our annual Guide to Effective Giving and other printed materials educate donors and conference attendees about simple ways to help animals. We also support those who work in the animal advocacy movement by publishing advice, including survey guidelines and recommendations on how to run a successful HR department. Our research and findings have been featured in Huffington Post, Slate, The Guardian, Financial Times, and TIME.
Fundraising: In 2017, for every $1 that ACE spent on our programs, we influenced over $9 in donations to our recommended charities. In total, since 2014 we have influenced over $11 million to highly impactful animal charities, a large portion of which came from new donors to animal advocacy.

RC Forward has teamed up with the Chimp Foundation to provide Canadian donors the opportunity to make tax deductible donations to high-impact charities around the world. Find other charities to donate to, or give to our funds by visiting rcforward.org.
100% of your donation (minus credit card fees, if applicable) goes to the cause of your choice. Rethink Charity Forward will strive to extend its “zero fees” initiative indefinitely.
If you are making a donation of $1000 or more, or a monthly donation of $200 or more, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org so we can provide you with alternative donation options that could cut back significantly on third-party fees.
