Be a part of something big. Something really big. Join us on Saturday, August 16th as we open up The World’s Largest Sandbox to raise money and awareness for kid's mental health. By joining us, you’ll not only help improve a child’s life, you’ll help build a stronger community for all of us!
Mental health is not only the foundation of an individual’s physical, social and emotional well-being, it’s also the foundation for the well-being of an entire community. And with up to one in five children experiencing a mental health disorder in any given year, the mental health of our community’s children is an issue that affects us all.
But a child’s mental health is not simply the absence of mental illness. It’s their capacity to feel, think and act in ways that enhance their ability to enjoy life and deal with the challenges they face. It is a resilient and positive sense of emotional well-being – and each and every kid in our community deserves that.
That is why we’re inviting you to join us on August 16th, at Second Beach in Stanley Park, as we open up The World’s Largest Sandbox to raise money and awareness for kid’s mental health.
It’s going to be a day of fun, sunshine, and smiles. A day filled with sand castles, mini golf and bouncy castle, as well as kid yoga, live music and tasty food to eat. There’ll be talks from leading experts, including Dr. Shimi Kang, who will teach us how we can foster a community of strong, resilient and happy children.
Get involved today by raising money, spreading the word, and joining us on August 16th, as we open up The World’s Largest Sandbox.
Happy, healthy and resilient kids mean a stronger community for us all.
