Science World BC: Wonder Campaign

The Wonder Gallery will be a space designed to nurture the imaginations and curiosities of our youngest learners—infants to kindergarten-aged children.

The Wonder Gallery:

The Wonder Gallery will encourage children to explore, problem solve and experiment, as they learn about science and technology, in an inviting, whimsical atmosphere. By incorporating hands-on experiences that allow young children to explore innovative topics such as water, light, movement and colour, along with engaging research-based activities, parents and researchers will learn about the cognitive, motor and social development of children 6 and under. This early learner’s gallery will be a bright, welcoming space, for creativity and discovery.

Science World is working with leading early childhood development researchers and experts to create an engaging and unique early learner’s gallery designed to nurture the imaginations and curiosities of our youngest learners—infants to kindergarten-aged children.

What the money will be used for

Designed to be a rich, colourful environment filled with fun, tactile and interactive experiences to foster early learning, the Wonder Gallery will be suited for young children to enjoy as they grow and change and will provide parents the opportunity to discover more about their child’s development. These experiences will be seamlessly blended with on-site scholarly research about early child development. In this ground-breaking project, leading educators and researchers, from universities around British Columbia, will gather data and educate our visitors about the science around a child’s development, keeping parents and caregivers up to date on the latest findings.

Your support can help us create a place for parents, grandparents and young children, to come together and explore, discover and learn about science in a fun, safe and supportive environment. Help spark a life-long love of science in our earliest learners.
