The Walking School Bus - March Trip to Uganda
Welcome to a life changing adventure. Each participant in this trip must raise at least $2,000 and be able to pay their own travel expenses. All the funds raised will be used to support our efforts on the ground in Nabagoye Village, 25 minutes outside of Mbale Town.
March Trip to Uganda Details:
Participants will be working at three different project sites and partnered schools in each region. We will build our first ever solar powered reading lab and furnish it with tables, chairs, tablets, headphones and wifi connectivity. Based on the success of our last trip, we will replicate the nutritional component in a new region providing them with a CSA garden, chicken coop and water catchment system. In addition to building, we will take the opportunity to engage and read with the students and teachers in all three villages ensuring our proprietary reading application is optimized. As a bonus, participants will also be able to take time to explore Uganda’s history, coffee plantations and beautiful water falls.
Join us in March on this life changing experience.
About The Walking School Bus:
Established in 2015, TWSB's mission is to empower students in developing countries by using a three-pronged approach that focuses on:
i) increased access to education;
ii) helping to provide sustainable and adequate nutrition for their partnered beneficiaries based on Community Supported Agriculture, and;
iii) creating academic partnerships and curriculum development between both local and international schools and their respective communities.
