Baby Think It Over: Parenting simulation for all grade 8 students; teaches responsibility, problem solving, & gives students a realistic idea of how difficult it is to be a parent. Accompanied by health presentations on the topic's of "Building a Healthy Baby", "Shaken Baby Syndrome" (Public Health), "Prenatal Drug Exposure" (AHS-Addictions), "FASD"(COPE Coordinator), & "Domestic Violence" (Victim's Services/RCMP). PARTY (Prevention of Risk-Related Trauma in Youth): Reality based education provided to grade 9's. Information on risk taking is presented over this full day program, our goal is to reduce injuries/deaths from risky behavior, drugs & alcohol. Labyrinth Park Project: Promotion & education focused on wellness for the mind, body, & spirit, using interactive park & portable canvas Labyrinth. Helping Hands Community Gardens: Horticulture therapy with mentoring opportunities. Mental Health Promotions: Promotion of recognized federal & provincial campaigns. Drumming for Health: Monthly Drum Circles are provided to community seniors and their guests. Also available upon request for schools & the work place.
