The main activities of our trained senior peer support volunteers are to provide one-on-one visits to our Seniors Clients who require our services, and who have been referred to us. These visits are free and are usually done in their own homes once a week. The visit provides listening and emotional support and guidance to stressful situations encountered in aging. Our "GoodMorning Program" is a free service to seniors 50+in Abbotsford. This contact gives our clients a scheduled telephone call/check-up on their physical and mental well-being, helping them maintain their independence starting at 9 10 a.m. Monday through Friday. Referrals are supported by Home Heamt Care, hospitals, social services, mental healt services, doctors, familyand friends. We provide free training to seniors 50+ who wish to become Senior Peer Support volunteers or a "Good Morning" caller. Keep-in-Touch Program.
