THE 2016 FALL FAIR WAS HELD ON SEPTEMBER 9TH AND 10TH 2016. THE FRIDAY EVEING WAS A LOCAL TRACTOR PULL. THE SATURDAY HAD AN EDUCATION SECTION FOR THE LOCAL SCHOOL CHILDREN AND EXTENSIVE LIVESTOCK DISPLAYS. THERE WAS ALSO A HORSE HUNTER/JUMPER COMPETION. THERE WERE EXTENSIVE 4H AND OTHER CALF AND SHEEP RELATED DISPLAYS. THERE WAS AN OLD MCDONALD'S FARM TO PROVE THE CHILDREN WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO BECOME FAMILIAR WITH FARM ANIMALS. THE HALL IS FULL OF HOMECRAFT - A REPOSITORY OF DOMESTIC SKILLS INCLUDING JUNIOR DISPLAYS, FINE ART, PHOTOGRAPHY, FOOD CRAFT AND ALL FORMS OF NEEDLEWORK. WE ALSO ARRANGE DISPLAY SPACE FOR ANY LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS TO DISPLAY THEIR ACTIVITIES. WE HAVE CHILDRENS ACTIVITIES INCLUDING RACES AND GAMES. DURING THE YEAR WE RAISE MONEY FOR THE FAIR WITH A CHICKEN BBQ. WE PROVINCE AN AWARDS NIGHT FOR THE 4-H WINNERS AND THE JUNIOR GARDEN CLUB.
