Africa Community Technical Service Society
Other Names: ACTS
Africa Community Technical Service (ACTS) is a charitable organization assisting rural communities with their development goals through the provision of technical expertise, funding, education, and training. Our primary focus and area of expertise is rural water supply and the complementary environmental, agricultural, and health education required to build and sustain healthy communities. We're currently at work in southwestern Uganda, where we have been active in rural water supply since 1992 in partnership with the Church of Uganda (COU) and the Canadian government’s Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD). To date, we've completed 15 gravity-flow water projects in the region, providing clean water for over 160,000 people.
