-Education on HIV/AIDS, HepC, STDs, STBBIs and harm reduction to high schools, community groups and other social service agencies in the community. -Support services for people living with HIV/AIDS. -Needle exchange program (NEP) to reduce incidence of HIV/AIDS and HepC. Provincial funding received to create an NEP Coordinator position July 2011 through July 2014 ($50K per year) and again July 2014 through July 2017 (same amount). -Sex Trade Action Committee (STAC): ASJ works with police, neighbourhood residents and other community agencies to build a community response to the street trade based on harm reduction, with the goal of improving safety and reducing healthy risks to everyone involved, including the workers. In 2012 we began hosting STAC's sex-worker outreach project, funded by the Canadian Women's Foundation and the Greater Saint John Community Foundation. -Partnership program w/ SIDA/AIDS Moncton and TASC in Swaziland established 2004. ASJ's current efforts focus on collecting money to pay school fees and uniform costs for children in Nkamazi ("Project Learn").
