CMHA, BC Division strives for the promotion of quality of services and education for the general public and those living with mental illness, and promoting mental well-being for all British Columbians. In pursuit of these programs, BC division carried out various mental health literacy programs including publications, television and radio ads, workshops, innovative project developments as well as careful promoting of elements of reformed mental health systems. CMHA, BC Division works with 19 branch offices across the province to develop and deliver programs to the local communities. On going provincial programs include Bounce Back, a provincial program of supported self-help for individuals with a mood program. Mental illness First Aid - provincial training program to provide awareness and skills development to assist in first response to persons experiencing a mental health crisis. Connecting the Dots - mental health promotion and service delivery, in partnership with BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres (BCAAFC).
