Actions Day program is a comprehensive, community-based day program. Services are offered on a part-time or full-time basis, and clients are supported in group or independent settings.Services are focused on personal growth and community inclusion. Operation of one respite care in Kennedy home which allows clients to stay in a comfortable setting in the community where caregivers can place their clients in an appropriate environment. Home Sharing-a program where we match persons served with the right caregiver, in order to promote independence in a family setting.The role of a home share provider is to offer safe care and support, provide an accepting and inclusive environment. NACL Works - an internal employment intitiative dedicated to facilitating real paid employment for the people we serve. Snoezelen Room-participants experience self-directed exploration, relaxation, or stimulation. Residential services - NACL operates several residences in the Nanaimo community, providing a wide range of services to a diverse group of individuals. Each NACL resident has a community integration plan which ensures thay are involved in their community on a regular basis. Family and friends are encouraged to be part of the residents' lives.
