Our Place (Peel)

In operation since 1989, the Our Place shelter provides short term emergency shelter, crisis counseling and referral services for youths 16-21 years of age within the Region of Peel. Youth can stay at the shelter for three weeks while they partake in programs such as food and life skills programming to support independent living. The Resource Room is located within the shelter and it is available for youth living at the shelter or youth in the community that require computer/internet access and support with employment and accomodation searches. ...Since June 2011, the Transitional program has 6 transitional beds where youth can stay for up to 3 months in a semi-independent living environment where staff can provide support as needed. The youth living in this program participate in a comprehensive case management program developed with mandatory programs assist them in developing skills for all aspects of life.
