1) Support the 14 Ronald McDonald Houses in Canada by covering a portion of their annual operating costs, as well as capital improvements for the Houses. A Ronald McDonald House is a home-away-from-home for out of town families of critically ill or injured children who are being treated at a nearby hospital. 2) Coin Boxes in all McDonald's restaurants across country are now owned and managed by Ronald McDonald House Charities. All funds are collected by third party collection agency and are deposited into RMHC bank account to be distributed to 14 houses across the country. 3) Support the development and ongoing operations of the Ronald McDonald Family Room Program. Located right inside the hospital, a Ronald McDonald Family Room allows us to extend the comforts of a Ronald McDonald House to the hospital settings, serving both out of town families, as well as families who live nearby. There are currently 13 Ronald McDonald Family Rooms in Canada. 4) Support the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile Program. This program brings medical care right to the community to serve families in East Calgary where language and social circumstances can be barriers to accessing health care.
