USC Canada is a leading international development organization that promotes family farms, strong rural communities and healthy ecosystems around the world. With engaged Canadians and partners in Africa, Asica and Latin America, we support programs, training and policies that strenghthen biodiversity, food sovereignty, and the rights of those at the heart of resillient food systems: women, indigenous peoples, and small-scale farmers. USC Canada has decades of experience in implementing multi-sectoral, multi-county long-term development programs overseas and education work in Canada. Our work stems from the universal values of equity, peace and dignity for all human beings. USC Canadaès entire work features our Seed of Survival (Sos) as a niche. Sos refers to our agricultural biodiversity or "eco-biodiversity" approach to sunstainable livelihood's work among farming communities in the Global South. The overwhelming majority of hungry people in the world reside in rural communities (75%), generally on landscapes that are challening to farm.
