Fircomites! Friends of Camp Fircom

Camp Firom on Gambier Island is the perfect place for children, youth and families to explore nature in an inclusive community. Funds raised here will go towards our campership that helps subsidize the cost of camp to ensure all kids and families have a chance to go, regardless of income!

The Group's Purpose

The Camp Fircom Society runs Camp Fircom on Gambier Island in BC's beautiful Howe Sound. A big part of our mission is to raise money so we can keep the cost of a week at camp affordable for everyone. We give out many "camperships" every year to ensure lower-income children, youth, and families aren't priced out of a summer camp experience.

Summer camp allows kids to explore nature, build an inclusive community, take a tech break, and learn new skills. We even run Moms and Kids camps to give young kids and their moms the same opportunity. But, it costs almost $500 for one camper to go for one week. That's too much for many families. We need your help to keep camp accessible and inclusive!

How to Help

The Camp Fircom Society is looking to find community members, "Fircomites", who will sign up to become monthly donors to raise money for our campership fund.

By growing our campership fund, the Society will also be able to reduce the cost of camp for all kids. That will really help us ensure children from all backgrounds can afford the experience of camp!

About the Organizers
