The Group's Purpose

Artist Paul Burke of Salt Spring Island’s Blue Horse Gallery (www.bluehorse.ca) firmly believes in the Chefs for Oceans platform and is keen to support Ned’s journey and further his goal. Paul’s installation currently resides in the first floor lobby of Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver. Early in May, Paul was moved to create a vibrant red salmon that embodies sustainability and speaks to the importance of taking care of Canada’s oceans, lakes and rivers for the cause.

Paul has donated this hand-carved salmon to support and raise funds for the Chefs for Oceans journey. It is currently located at YEW seafood + bar and could live in your home or office. Make a donation of $50 or more and be entered to win.

The salmon is hand-carved, hand-painted is 30” inches long and comes with a custom-made plinth for freestanding display.

Paul Burke’s sculptures range from $750 to $12,500.

Only individuals who donate to this online fund will be entered to win this prize.

Prize to be drawn by September 15, 2014

Given the spirit of the prize, the cause and the intent, friends, family and employees of YEW seafood and the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver are invited to enter and are eligible to win.
