The Group's Purpose

For the 3rd time, Leanne Gibson will be running the Boston marathon. She has been passionate about running for a long time and this will mark her 11th marathon.

She is also passionate about giving back and raising awareness for youth struggling with mental health.

She will be running 42.2 kms in Boston April 16th, 2018 on behalf of The Maddie Project.

The Maddie Project's mission is to let no youth or their family suffer from depression or other mental health concerns without help. To date The Maddie Project has engaged millions in conversations and raised more than $1.6 million dollars supporting youth mental health services in our community.

- One in five Canadians will experience mental illness in their lifetime.
- 10 to 20 percent of Canadian youth are affected by a mental illness or disorder
- Only one out of five children who need mental health services receives them.

How to Help

Last year Leanne raised $5001 and this year she hopes to surpass that goal and raise $10,000.

All the funds raised will receive a tax receipt and go directly to support enhancing services for youth mental health via the Maddie Project.

Join her supporting youth mental health in our community.
